  1. Laser stimulation of human embryonic fibroblast cells. The maximum increase in collagen production and biostimulation occurred after 4 treatment sessions with an interval of 24 hours.
  2. The use of laser treatment in patients with arthrosis of the joints has led to a reduction in the dosage of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
  3. The doctor Molina conducted a study in two groups of patients. The first took “Aspirin”, the second – “Aspirin” and the use of laser treatment. The effectiveness of treatment was better achieved in the second group of patients.
  4. Stages of the procedure

  • determination of the skin type of the patient;
  • test irradiation;

The duration of one course of treatment is 5-15 sessions. The number of procedures depends on the severity of arthrosis. The duration of one session is 10-15 minutes. During laser treatment, the patient does not feel pain, only feels the heat at the site of exposure. Therapy is carried out in 2-4 courses per year for several years. Only in this way can significant success be achieved and the disease be defeated.

Scheme of the procedure

Laser treatment of arthrosis increases the chances and eliminates the repeated degradation of the knee, hip, and other joints for which this therapy was used. The impact of the laser always depends on the symptoms of the disease, it can be pulsed or constant. Almost any degenerative joint disease is treated with a wavelength of 0.8–0.9 microns. After the first session, an increase in the level of pain, the appearance of dizziness and headaches can be observed. This clinical picture appears in 20% of patients but quickly passes. The first noticeable signs of improvement become noticeable after 8 procedures.

  • therapy is carried out in the morning when the sympathetic nervous system is in good shape;
  • the doctor prescribes a dose of laser exposure that cannot be increased;
  • in the mild stage of the disease, the frequency is 50 Hz, moderate – 80 Hz, severe – 600 Hz;
  • the beam is used locally, it is possible to irradiate acupuncture points;
  • impact on one site should not exceed 5 minutes.

Laser rays act directly on diseased joints, the areas around them do not hurt. First, the therapy is carried out daily, then every other day. Along with laser treatment, it is allowed to use other techniques, for example, photophoresis, electrophoresis, ultrasound, and massage. Therapy can be carried out using a special massager.


The success of treatment depends on strict adherence to the recommendations and the regularity of the procedures. However, not all patients are indicated for laser therapy. This treatment technique is not recommended for patients with a diagnosis of arthrosis of the joints, having the following contraindications:

  • malignant and benign neoplasms in the joint affected by the disease;
  • decompensated diabetes mellitus;
  • infectious pathologies;
  • malfunction of the pulmonary system;
  • diseases of the circulatory system;
  • cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal failure;
  • pathological conditions of the liver;
  • integrated pacemaker;
  • acute respiratory infections;
  • diseases of the thyroid gland and nervous system.

Many specialists allow irradiation with tumors, but with the use of a low-intensity frequency. In this case, the beam cannot be directed to the place of neoplasm. In this case, an oncologist should take part in the treatment of the disease. Laser treatment for arthrosis cannot be carried out with a hypertensive crisis, syphilis, brucellosis. It is also impossible to carry out similar therapy for heart attacks, strokes, and critical health conditions. After passing the problem and recovering, treatment can be resumed if the attending doctor allows.
